"I drew this because I wanted to show the beauty of the Ethiopian people and culture,” said Surafel on an interview with Views of Addis.
Surafel, a young art entrepreneur in Ethiopia was looking through the internet to find something to draw when he landed on this photo of a woman from Hamer, a south west region in Ethiopia. He was amazed by the photo and decided to draw the girl. "She was just so beautiful," he said, "I had to draw her". Surafel used the grid method technique to draw the picture on the top.
